Nested Flying Geese

(6 hours, household sewing machine)

With my Nested Flying Geese approach, I have tried to add a contemporary, even modern twist to the traditional and very popular Flying Geese block.
Originally, I developed this pattern for my quilt “Diversity Rocks” – but there are numerous ways of using this fun block.
The nested geese are pieced from 2.5” fabric strips combined with a neutral background fabric.
You can either use the set of cutting templates provided in class or bring your triangle cutting ruler that is suitable for working with 2.5” strips.

Use a precut roll of fabrics or cut your own strips from stash fabric.
Depending on the brightness of your geese fabrics, your background fabric should be either a very light or a very dark one.[:]
